Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park Openings!

This is a great time of the year to explore our National Parks-early birds will need to pay attention to the opening dates of facilities and roads, but will also experience very limited crowds and be able to witness the wonders of Spring in Yellowstone (like this moose beefing up after a long winter!), uninterrupted. Here is the schedule of openings for your convenience:
- April 17th - the Western part of Yellowstone opened to motorized traffic. This includes Mammoth to Norris Junction to Madison Junction to Old Faithful; Madison Junction to the West Entrance and Norris Junction to Canyon. Geyser Grill and Gift Shop opened.
- May 1st - Grand Teton National Park opens to motorized traffic. Canyon to Lake and Lake to East Entrance open. Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins, Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Madison Campground opens.
- May 8th - the Southern part of Yellowstone opens to motorized traffic. This includes Tower Junction to Tower Fall; Lake to West Thumb; West Thumb to Old Faithful; Old Faithful to South Entrance. Cooke City via Colter Pass to the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway intersection to the Long Lake gate shall be open as soon thereafter as possible. Old Faithful Inn opens.
- May 15th - Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins, Old Faithful Lodge, Old Faithful Bake Shop and Gift Shop, Mammoth Hot Springs Terrace Grill and Gift Shop and Fishing Bridge RV Park opens.
- May 18th - Jackson Lake Lodge (Grand Teton NP) opens.
- May 22nd - (if snow and plow conditions allow): Tower Falls to Canyon via Dunraven Pass; Long Lake Gate to Red Lodge via Beartooth Pass. Grant Village and Lake Hotel Deli Opens. Colter Bay Log Cabins, RV Park and Campground opens (Grand Teton NP).
- May 29th - Bridge Bay Campground opens. Colter Bay Tent Cabins opens (Grand Teton NP).
- May 30th - Jenny Lake Lodge opens (Grand Teton NP).
- June 5th - Grant Village Lake House, Roosevelt Lodge and Cabins and Canyon Campground opens.
- June 10th - Lake Lodge and Cabins opens.
- June 21st - Grant Village Campground opens.
